After we have taken templates for your new worktops, the next stage is fabrication. County Stone Granite aim to return with your new worktops within five working days. A longer turn around time can be expected for special edged worktops or if the material isn’t readily available, County Stone Granite will advise.
Your new worktops will be cut from a whole slab of granite to get a perfect colour match. If your job requires two or even three slabs then County Stone Granite will ensure that they come from the same block of stone in numeric order. We offer our customers the opportunity to come and view their slabs if they feel it necessary, you will need to arrange this on the day of booking your template.
Once your slab/slabs have been quality checked and approved, County Stone Granite will commence with the cutting of your stone on state of the art machinery. Our saw man will ensure that all your worktops are cut to the highest standard from the templates that are provided. If you have chosen up stands/backslpash’s these will also be cut from the same slab of stone. County Stone Granite has invested in a new saw (Gisbert CP20) which will machine your stone from 30mm to 20mm to guarantee your up stands match your worktops.
Once your worktops have been cut they will be lifted from the saw onto the (Gisbert FG-250) cnc where they will have bowls, tap holes, draining grooves, hob cut outs etc. cut into them. County Stone Granite has invested in the latest technology which gives them the edge in the granite industry.
Once your worktops have been cut and fabricated they will be quality checked by our head mason. After approval they will have their first coat of sealant applied and will be carefully stacked in a loading bay ready to be collected by our fitters.
