Your work tops have been templated, fabricated and are now ready for installation. County Stone Granite will book a date giving you a morning or afternoon time slot. This is a guideline as to when you should expect to see our professional fitting team, dependant on travel time.
County Stone Granite requires that you or someone with the authority to be in on the day of your installation. Once the installation is complete you will be asked to inspect the work and check that it is to the highest standard. You will then be asked to sign an acceptance sheet that our installers will bring back to County Stone Granite.
Installation usually takes between 2-4 hours depending on the size and intricacy of your worktops. Once our fitting team arrives they will start by choosing a suitable route to which they will bring the worktops into your kitchen. Please be aware that health and safety requires our fitters to be wearing steel toe cap work boats when carrying heavy granite, they will make sure that all carpets and floorings are covered before work commences.
Once your worktops are in place they will be levelled and chemically fixed. We advise that any pets are kept away from where the fitters are working due to the vapours. If you have ordered upstands, they will be installed after your worktops are fitted. Once your worktops and upstands are in place the fitters will apply a second coat of sealant (STAIN-PROOFTM). After the sealant is applied the fitters will silicone all the areas that require it.
You will be advised by the fitters not to use your worktops for the first couple of days to allow the top layer of the sealant to dry. County Stone Granite advises you to avoid getting any moisture onto your worktops for at least the first week, this will allow the sealant to dry fully to give your surfaces the best protection possible.
Once your installation is complete and you have signed our customer acceptance sheet you will be left with the invoice. At this point we will require the balance for your worktops which can either be paid over the phone with a card, by BACS or presenting the fitter with a cheque.
