Why choose a quartz worktop?

Quartz makes for an excellent kitchen worktop or countertop for a number of reasons, firstly they are stain proof due to being non-porous. This also means quartz worktops don’t have to be sealed unlike granite worktops and as such are considered to be virtually maintenance free.

They are also extremely hygienic as bacteria and mildew finds it hard to adhere and grow on the surface, this is again due its non-porous nature.

It is also extremely strong meaning it is unlikely to break under its own weight only the minerals like diamonds, sapphires and topaz are inherently stronger.

We offer the following types of Quartz:

Silestone is a compound made up of 94% natural quartz which makes it hard and resilient. It is the only manufactured worktop with antibacterial protection giving it excellent hygienic properties.

Caesarstone is made up from 93% quartz combined with numerous polymers and dashes of pigments. Caesarstone surfaces are non porous, making them safe and hygienic for food preparation environments.

Compac quartz is manufactured from a mixture of pure quartz, pigments and resins. This product preserves all the technical aesthetics giving it pleasing characteristics of the original stone, but it has been improved and enhanced resulting in a product that is ideal for areas requiring high abrasion and scratch resistance.
