What should I consider for a gravestone or memorial?
Choosing a memorial is not something that most of us have to think about often. But when you make decisions, there are plenty of things to consider to make sure that you have a lasting memorial that fully respects the memory of a loved one.
For gentle guidance, we offer some of our thoughts on the blog section of our website.
Our step by step guide to creating a memorial introduces key considerations on the type of grave you choose and the way different types of lettering create different effects. You can also find out about choosing a location, and ordering a memorial.
Our thoughts on headstone designs for granite memorials cover the benefits of using beautiful granite for long lasting memorials, including its suitability for etching and engraving.
We also look at how to decorate memorials throughout the year. Memorials usually need to provide options for keeping a fresh appearance throughout the year with fresh flowers or plants. Alternatively, fabricated flowers offer a long-lasting option, while seasonal decorations are a thoughtful way of caring for a plot.
Many of our customers appreciate guidance on what to consider when choosing a memorial vase. Things to consider include local rules for different cemeteries and graveyards and the various materials you can use, as well as inscriptions and ways to personalise a vase.
We also provide our thoughts on how to choose the perfect inscription for a headstone. By spending time thinking through the wording, you are most likely to find something which is just right for perpetuating the memory of a loved relative or friend.
We also provide a guide to memorial costs and pricing. You’ll see an outline of pricing, but the cost of every memorial depends on the final specification. When you contact us to discuss what you want, we’ll provide details of pricing including alternatives.
