Our work in West Sussex

West Sussex is a place of real beauty, both natural and man-made. Complementing the county’s diverse scenery – which includes everything from coastal stretches to woodland and grassy plains – are a number of prominent stately homes. Goodwood and Petworth House are perhaps the most recognised, and both draw tourists from across the UK and beyond every year. Then you have Arundel Castle, which is now almost 1,000 years old. There’s plenty to inspire, wherever you visit.

Many of West Sussex’s homes and businesses have also been dressed to impress, outside and in. We take pride in the part we’ve played in that, having worked on some fantastic kitchens and bathrooms for customers in the area. Let’s take a look at some examples.

Silestone Rougui Lena Quartz Worktop – Billingshurst

The team was more than happy to visit Billingshurst recently, where we installed a beautiful Silestone Rougui Lena quartz worktop into a customer’s house.

Silestone isn’t the most common material out there but its popularity is growing, and we can see why. It’s a compound made up of 94 per cent natural quartz, which means it’s extremely strong and ideal for use in the kitchen. It also comes in a variety of colours and appearances; in this instance, the customer chose a lighter shade and went with full-height upstands to create a truly modern appearance.

Star Galaxy Black Granite Counter – Charlwood

That previous example may have been on the lighter side, but this one’s definitely at the other end of the spectrum. Star Galaxy, as the name suggests, is black granite with gold/copper flecks. It’s quarried in India and has become hugely popular in recent years – hardly surprising, really!

In this instance, the customer used it to complement a brand new set of cream kitchen units. As you can see from the picture below, it worked perfectly, with everything coming together to create a clean, minimalist feeling. We also added drainer grooves next to the Belfast sink for a little extra practicality.

Samsung Radianz Kunlun Ink Worktop – Crawley

Samsung Radianz quartz is a popular choice among homeowners looking to add a little sparkle to their kitchen. That’s exactly what we did here by installing some of the trendily dark Kunlun Ink quartz, which is black with mirror flecks. It looks particularly special underneath spotlights and works perfectly with lighter units.

We imagine it looked amazing when everything in the kitchen was finished!

River White Granite Worktop – Watersfield

Let’s finish on something a little lighter. Not long ago we visited Watersfield to install River White Granite worktops in a customer’s kitchen. It was chosen partly due to its unique appearance, which is made up of a white base with darker signs of grey and black running through. Many people say the finish resembles a flowing river, which explains the name!

The simple appearance is complemented well by strength and resilience, making it perfect not only for kitchen and bathroom work surfaces but also flooring. In this case, however, we stopped at the worktops and, as you can see from the image below, the result was stunning.
