Beckhams to spend £500,000 on futuristic kitchen
David and Victoria Beckham are reportedly planning to spend £500,000 on a futuristic redesign of their kitchen.
Sources close to the family have claimed that Victoria is keen for their new home to feature a “James Bond-style” kitchen complete with disappearing appliances.
According to belfasttelegraph.co.uk, the source said: “Victoria’s planning a massive overhaul of the whole place, while remaining sympathetic to the house’s original features. She’s set aside a cool half a million for her James Bond-style kitchen alone.
“It won’t even look like a kitchen when it’s done as all of the appliances – the cooker, the fridge – will disappear into marble units at the press of a button.”
Kelly Hoppen, a famous interior designer and good friend of the Beckhams, is thought to have been asked to lend a hand with the project.
Contactmusic.com reports that the family are also planning to add a £100,000 home gym, a sound-proofed music room and an oak-panelled office.
Money appears to be no object for the Beckhams, who bought the £40 million home earlier this year, shortly after David’s retirement from professional football.
The house has seven bedrooms, eight bathrooms and a recreational play area for their children Brooklyn, 14, Romeo, 11, Cruz, eight and two-year-old Harper.
