Dekton Laurent has a dark brown background with gold veins that crisscross at an angle, creating an ultra-modern and luxurious-looking surface. It’s a striking design that’s inspired by Port Laurent marble found in Morocco. 

Dekton worktops are made from a mixture of quartz, glass, porcelain and other raw materials that are put through a high-tech heat and pressure production process. This offers two benefits: a stable colour that you can’t find in natural marble and a heavy-duty worktop that’s dense and ultra-compressed.

The durability of Dekton Laurent means it is highly resistant to heat. You could place a hot pan or baking tray on the side and it wouldn’t cause thermal shock – although it’s always recommended you use a trivet.

It’s resistant to UV rays, too, which means sunlight won’t affect the colour. It’s an ideal option for outdoor kitchens, as well as for hard-wearing kitchen worktops in sunny homes.

Dekton Laurent worktops are also resistant to abrasion, making it scratch resistant. And because it’s virtually non-porous, it’s impossible to stain, too. This means it needs little in the form of care and will never need to be retouched or updated because its finish will be preserved despite years of use.

In fact, it’s such a low-maintenance material that you only need to wipe it down with a standard cleaner. Just steer clear of bleach or degreasers to keep the surface in pristine condition.

For eco-conscious home owners, Dekton Laurent is a great choice because it’s officially carbon neutral for its entire life cycle. This means the whole process, from extracting raw material all the way to its final state, is carbon neutral.
