Silestone Blanco Norte is a light-coloured off-white quartz with speckles and flecks of soft brown.
The overall effect is light and airy, with a lovely layer of extra interest which makes it a hugely appealing centrepiece for a super-stylish kitchen. As well as bringing a fresh, clean feel to your kitchen, Silestone Blanco Norte has patented antimicrobial properties, so you can be confident your worktop is as hygienic as it looks.
Silestone Blanco Norte is a great option for anyone looking to create a light-filled kitchen that’s fresh and clean as well as being exceptionally hygienic.
The character of Silestone Blanco Norte comes from a pale background that’s complemented by flecks of natural brown. This softens the white and gives the material a hint of texture and depth. When used for kitchen worktops, it brightens up the room and creates a modern feel.
Silestone Blanco Norte is as practical a choice as it is an aesthetic one. It’s made from one of the toughest materials in the world, which means it can endure most culinary tasks without damage. It’s also scorch-resistant, so while you shouldn’t place your pans directly onto your worktop, it can withstand limited exposure to strong heat. This is supported by a ten-year warranty from the manufacturer.
Silestone quartz worktops are also non-porous, which means that stains or odours won’t be able to cling to the surface. Germs are also banished, thanks to its natural antimicrobial properties. This means that when your kitchen worktop looks clean, it really is.
Silestone Blanco Norte is an easy surface to maintain, and it can stay bright and white for many years with simple surface cleaning with soap and water on a regular basis. If you do spill something, it should be cleaned immediately by wiping with a soft, wet cloth. This is to make sure that things like grease, coffee, or fruit juices, don’t stain. If you have a stubborn stain, just soak the area for 10 minutes then use a mild household cleaner with a soft Scotch Brite® pad to clean away.
The worktop is so strong that it’s scratch-resistant, but it’s not indestructible. This means you should always use chopping boards to prevent any accidents. If you’re worried about scratches, choosing a light colour like Silestone Blanco Norte means any small scratches are less likely to show.
If you’d like your Silestone Blanco Norte to be smooth and reflective – and even easier to maintain – you can choose a polished finish. If you prefer a bit of texture and a softer look, you can choose the suede finish. For a more marked feel, Silestone’s volcano finishes adds a subtle micro-dimpling that makes it ideal for contemporary kitchens.
To further customise your Silestone Blanco Norte worktop, you can choose the kind of edge that you’d like. If you want to soften the look of your kitchen worktop, you can have the edges rounded with bullnose or dove chest edges. If you’d prefer a more defined edge, a mitred or bevelled edge is the best option. Just be sure to avoid sharp edges, because these are more prone to chipping.
Silestone Blanco Norte can be used for many things besides kitchen worktops. For example, you can use this material for an integrated sink, or as a backsplash, or for wall panels and flooring. It’s also a great option for the bathroom, where it can be used for floors, sinks and walls.
For further choices of paler, dappled colours, Silestone provide a range of options including Blanco Maple, White Storm, Lusso, Blanco Orion, Faro White and Helix.
At County Stone, we have been sourcing, cutting and fitting top quality kitchen worktops for over 20 years. We are a family business and we take particular pride in our reputation for complete customer satisfaction. We have perfected an approach which has earned us a growing number of 5-star reviews. The areas we cover are throughout East and West Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire and into London.
We start by talking you through the stone options for your worktop, either by phone, video or best of all, face-to-face at our showroom. We are completely independent, and you can rest assured that our advice is based on what our experience tells us will best achieve the results you have in mind. Uniquely for kitchen companies in the Sussex area, we will show you the stock of stones we keep at our workshop, giving you the opportunity to see the actual stone for your worktop.
We provide fast quotations for your preferred options. While we are fully aware that we work in a competitive world, we ask our clients to be wary of low cost companies and individuals who do not have the experience of working with high grade granite, quartz and other stones.
Once we have your agreement, we will visit your kitchen and measure up for a detailed and precise template for your worktop. Our workshop team cuts the slabs to size, including any recesses and awkward shapes. We prepare the cut stone with any fine details and polishing. The fitting team returns with your prepared worktop, and fits it accurately in place, ensuring that it is absolutely level and that there are no gaps at the edges or between sections. We make sure you are pleased with the result, and tidy up and leave your kitchen clean, tidy and ready for action.
You can book an appointment at our showroom, and we also provide virtual tours and video consultations. Either face-to-face or by video we will show samples of different stone slabs, and provide quotations for any worktop you choose.
